For the month of August during library opening hours, Mountmellick Heritage Society are presenting a Mountmellick Embroidery exhibition in Mountmellick Library including 61 pieces of Mountmellick work, with photographs and artifacts chronicling its 201 year history. All are welcome.

Offaly Local Community Safety Partnership is conducting an online and in-person survey on community safety, alongside public consultation meetings across the county. Residents can share their views, discuss safety concerns, and get help completing the survey. The survey is open to everyone aged 12+ who lives or works in Offaly. Findings will help shape priorities and actions to improve safety, wellbeing and inclusion across the county. Paper copies are available at all Offaly County Council offices and libraries.

Camross Vintage Club Family Day is this Sunday starting at 1pm with the Martin Bergin Memorial Vintage Run for cars, tractors and bikes. Then the Vintage Threshing and family day from 2pm. The Black Bull Threshing Festival is back this year in Sharavogue, Co. Offaly on Sunday 23rd August. Marty Morrissey will be opening the festival at 1pm. A great family day out with craft stalls, threshing demo, childrens games, food stalls, dog show, vintage displays, loads more and music from TR Dallas and Band Si. Proudly supporting Coolderry Playground. Entry just €5 for adults, children are free.

A free Cyber Safety Workshop is taking place in Tullamore Library on Thursday 20th August from 11.30am – 12.30pm. Topics include: handling scams, safe online shopping, online privacy, AI and misinformation and more. Open to all and no prior knowledge required. Visit cyber safety .ie for advice.

The Moate Agricultural Show returns on Sunday 23rd August at the new Show Grounds, Dublin Rd, Moate.
