  • Safe Home Ireland

Safe Home Ireland was set up in 2000 to facilitate the desire for qualifying Irish born emigrants abroad to return to their homeland. Over the years Safe Home has evolved from simply providing a housing option for older Irish born emigrants. It now provides an information and advocacy service supporting Irish people while still abroad, to make informed choices about returning to Ireland and assists those who have returned by providing person-centered and holistic outreach support on accessing services and rights. Safe Home Ireland would like to meet with those who recently (or not so recent!) returned to Ireland to explore their experience of returning home, and the first in-person ‘Returned Irish Emigrants Network’ meeting will take place on Saturday (9th Dec) in Portlaoise Parish Centre at 2pm. Refreshments provided. Call Karen McHugh on 087 977 5080 for more info OR just come along on the day to join the Network.
