Colaiste Íosagain Silver Jubilee Celebrations
Colaiste Íosagain in Portarlington are celebrating their Silver Jubilee (25 years of Education) on Saturday 27th September with Mass at 3pm in St. Michael’s Church, Portarlington, followed in the school by the launch of the Silver Jubilee Yearbook Book, opening of the time capsule & refreshments. Water Safety Classes Portlaoise
Learn essential interactive water safety skills this autumn. Water Safety Laois are holding Junior & Senior Water safety lessons at Portlaoise Leisure Centre this September. Junior classes 12 – 16yrs start September 20th at 11:45a.m – GAISCE APPROVED Senior Classes 16+ Adults start 24th September from 9 – 10pm – FREE for Emergency Service Workers

Cuidiú Offaly (Irish Childbirth Trust) is hosting a fun, interactive workshop for grandparents in Tullamore Presbyterian Church on Saturday 20th September from 10am-1pm. Topics will include new developments in baby safety, supporting mother and baby in the postpartum period and supporting your daughter/daughter in law to get breastfeeding off to a good start. Patrick Kelly AKA ‘Farmer Batman’ and his sidekick ‘Teddy Bear Robin’ are raising funds for Childhood Cancer Ireland with a 53+ kilometre endurance walk from Obama Plaza, Moneygall to Portlaoise Plaza on Sunday 21st September– all while pushing their trusty garden cart-mobile.
