Acclaimed Soprano Helen Hancock and her international string quartet, The Triskel Ensemble will perform an uplifting concert of musical theatre, opera and popular classical music on Saturday 20th June at 8pm at St Mary’s Church of Ireland, in Athlone. Derravaragh 5 and 10 Mile, takes place on Sunday the 21st of June at 11am from Derravaragh Holiday Park in Multyfarnham. Set along the scenic shores of Lough Derravaragh, this flat and fast course is ideal for runners, joggers and walkers, with dogs on leads also welcome. The event includes a children’s fun race, a monster raffle, refreshments and a commemorative T-shirt for all participants. All proceeds to Ballinafid-Multyfarnham Community Services. Tullamore Credit Union is marking five years since the amalgamation of the Kilcormac Office with a special community event on Saturday, 13 June, from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Attendees can meet Offaly GAA stars and enjoy refreshments and giveaways. All members of the local community are warmly invited. Please note, from 2 July the office will close daily for lunch from 1:00pm to 1:30pm.
