Peatlands and People Foundation, a new social enterprise company is inviting the local community to a public information event to learn more about the development of a visitor attraction and futures showcase at the former RTÉ Transmitter station in Athlone. Streete Vintage 2026 takes place from 26-28th of June at Streete Parish Park Kilmore, Streete Co. Westmeath. Celebrating 60 years of the Toyota Corolla & 80 years of the Ferguson 20. Acclaimed Soprano Helen Hancock and her international string quartet, The Triskel Ensemble will perform an uplifting concert of musical theatre, opera and popular classical music on Saturday 20th June at 8pm at St Mary’s Church of Ireland, in Athlone. Derravaragh 5 and 10 Mile, takes place on Sunday the 21st of June at 11am from Derravaragh Holiday Park in Multyfarnham. Set along the scenic shores of Lough Derravaragh, this flat and fast course is ideal for runners, joggers and walkers, with dogs on leads also welcome. The event includes a children’s fun race, a monster raffle, refreshments and a commemorative T-shirt for all participants. All proceeds to Ballinafid-Multyfarnham Community Services. Tullamore Credit Union is marking five years since the amalgamation of the Kilcormac Office with a special community event on Saturday, 13 June, from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Attendees can meet Offaly GAA stars and enjoy refreshments and giveaways. All members of the local community are warmly invited. Please note, from 2 July the office will close daily for lunch from 1:00pm to 1:30pm.
