Midlands Musical Society Pays Tribute To Olivia Newton-John

She had been suffering from cancer.

Tributes have been pouring in overnight for singer and movie actress Olivia Newton-John who has died aged 73.

She passed away at her home in Southern California after suffering from cancer.

Grease co-star John Travolta has lead tributes from around the world to her. 

The actress and singer's husband says she "passed away peacefully".

Last night's performance of Grease on the West End in London was dedicated to her memory.

Portlaoise Musical Society says she has left a great legacy and will inspire future generations.

Michelle de Forge, Director of Dunamaise Arts Centre, says she expects the star's passing to result in a new batch of tribute performances:
