Britney Spears has been invited to share her experiences of being in a conservatorship for nearly 14 years with members of the US Congress.

The pop star was freed from the complex legal agreement allowing her father to control her life and finances in November.

She shared a copy of a letter she received in December online, saying she was grateful her story was even acknowledged.
