Cahir Castle Crowned Europe's Best Film Location

A number of A-list projects have been shot at the River Suir castle including "The Last Duel".

Cahir Castle has become Europe's favourite film location.

The Tipperary site has beaten off other beauty spots including the location of "The Queen's Gambit" in Germany and the backdrop of "Dune" which was in Norway , to win the European Film Commissions Network Location Award for 2021.

A number of A-list projects have been shot at the River Suir castle including "The Last Duel", starring Matt Damon and David Lowery's "The Green Knight".
