Chimpanzees Spotted Using Insects To Treat Their Wounds

Researchers in Germany recorded 76 open wounds on Chimps being deliberately treated.

Chimpanzees have been filmed using insects to treat wounds. 

While other animals including bears and elephants have been witnessed using plants as medicine, this is the first time any other species apart from humans have been seen using other creatures. 

Researchers from Osnabruk University in Germany recorded 76 open wounds on Chimps being deliberately treated, either by themselves or family members, with insects.
