Hungary Fires Top Weather Experts For Giving Wrong Forecast

They were dismissed after their prediction of heavy rain.

Hungary's top two weather experts have been fired for giving a wrong forecast.

The head and deputy head of the National Meteorological Service were dismissed after their prediction of heavy rain led to the postponement of a national fireworks display.

Politicians say the forecast was "gravely wrong" - but critics say the firings were politically motivated.
