It's enjoyed a boost in popularity since it launched in October.

The creator of Wordle's admitted his online game's become too 'overwhelming' to run himself - handing his website over to The New York Times for a seven-figure sum.

We're told we may have to pay for the puzzle in future, but that it'll remain free for now.
