€1.2m Allocated To 32 Midlands Projects For Climate Adaptation

Offaly senator Pippa Hackett says the investment highlights the cost of adapting to climate change.

€1.2million is being allocated to 32 projects in the midlands as part of a climate adaptation investment programme for regional and local roads.

Welcoming the announcement from the Department of Transport, Junior Agriculture Minister, Offaly's Pippa Hackett says the investment highlights the cost of adapting to climate change and addressing increased flooding. 

€463,000 is due to be spent on 13 projects in Laois, €438,000 on 14 projects in Offaly and €381,000 on 5 improvements in Westmeath.
