The application by Laois Sawmills Limited was returned on a single point.
A planning application for a new solar farm in Laois has been deemed invalid.
Laois County Council returned the application on the sole point that map co-ordinates were not legible.
The proposed development was lodged by Laois Sawmills Limited and would have consisted of solar panels on mounted frames across 2 hectares of land in Ballymacken near Portlaoise.
It also included a switch room building and fencing around the site, access tracks with underground ducts, surface water drainage and a new entrance for the site.
The farm would have generated electricity solely for their business in an effort to cut down on its carbon footprint.
