Calls For Increase To Fuel Allowance

The government is facing calls to include a 50% increase in the fuel allowance in the upcoming Budget.

The push comes from Irish Rural Link, which says the rising cost of living justifies the suggestion.

It's also calling for a minimum rise of €25 per week for core social welfare payments, in its Pre-Budget Submission.
