There's a call on the Justice Minister to reconsider signing up to the EU's Visa Information System.
Fianna Fáil TD Robert Troy says the system could be used to tackle migration and security challenges by creating a connection with other EU countries.
Minister Helen McEntee says Ireland will not be joining the system, which allows Schengen Area States to exchange visa data, because the country is not part of the Schengen area.
Deputy Troy believes it would be wise to reconsider this decision:
