An annual charity Bike-a-Thon organised by a number of churches in Offaly is taking place today.
The Churches Together In Birr Collective are hosting the St Brendan's Christmas Bike-A-Thon Challenge to raise funds for people in need.
It runs over the 'traditional' Christmas shopping weekend from 8 am to 8 pm today and tomorrow in Emmets Square.
St Vincent de Paul, Hospice care Birr and Offaly Healthy Homes Meals on Wheels are this years chosen charities.
