Emergency Services Have Brought A Fire In Offaly Under Control

A number of people were safely evacuated.

Emergency services have brought a fire in Offaly under control. 

The blaze broke out in the Dunkerrin Arms after 10 o'clock last night.  

Six people staying in the premises were safely evacuated and medically assessed at the scene by ambulance personnel. 

Significant damage was caused to the building but the exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. 

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and enquires are ongoing.

Fire units from Cloughjordan and Roscrea attended the scene.
