Enoch Burke To Take Legal Challenge Against Disciplinary Appeals Panel

It's the third time court action has been taken by him against an appeals panel.

Enoch Burke is launching another legal challenge against the appeals board that endorsed his dismissal from a Westmeath school, according to the Irish Independent.

Mr Burke was suspended and then fired from Wilson's Hospital School for repeatedly confronting the then principal over a request to refer to a student by their chosen pronouns.

It's the third legal action taken by the former school teacher against the disciplinary appeals panel, the two previous challenges led to the resignation of panel members on both occasions.

Respondents in the latest judical review proceeding include the Education Minister and the school's board of management alongside members of the panel.

The filing comes just a week after his release from Castlerea Prison.

Mr Burke is yet to purge his contempt of court for ignoring orders to stay away from the school.
