Frustration Over Sprialling Cost Of New Midlands Library

It's reported to have increased from €2.5 million in 2012 to an estimated €6.5 million now.

The cost of building a new library in the midlands is spiralling out of control, according to Sinn Féin.

Laois councillor Caroline Dwane Stanley says price estimates for Portlaoise library continue to rise with no guarantee when the development will be finished or what the total expense of the project will amount to.
