Government Urged To Intervene In Retained Firefighters Industrial Action

Action is planned again for this morning.

The government are being urged to intervene with "meaningful" steps in the retained fire fighters industrial action.

It's feared that all Retained Fire Stations could be closed in two weeks time if no resolution is found.

Action is planned again for this morning due to working conditions, annual leave and pay.

SIPTU says the organisation will work to rule from today, however this may escalate to rolling strikes from the 13th of June.
