Grass Roots Funding Needed To Achieve Climate Action Plan Targets

According to CEO of Moate-based Irish Rural Link.

The government must provide funding structures to enable the public achieve targets set out in the Climate Action Bill.

That's the view of Irish Rural Link CEO Seamus Boland who says the cost of retrofitting homes, transitioning to renewable energy and utilising electric vehicles must be subsidised by government.

He says training should also be provided to re-employ midlands workers in renovation projects or to develop sustainable energy infrasture on their land.
