Almost 25% of total spending went towards housing, light and fuel costs.
Households in the East and Midlands had the highest weekly expenditure in 2022 and 2023.
New analysis from the CSO shows the average weekly expenditure in the region was €1,088, significantly higher than the figures in the Southern and Nothern and Western regions.
Almost a quarter of total spending was on housing, fuel and light.
