The figures are down in Offaly and Westmeath.
There's been a significant increase in the number of housing completions in Laois.
New figures from the Department of Housing show there 243 new dwelling completions in the county in the first quarter of 2026, that's up 42% on the same period last year.
The numbers are down however in Offaly by 41%, and 23% in Westmeath.
Nationally, there were 7,800 new completions up 33% and the highest number of Q1 completions since the series began in 2011.
