The Housing Finance Agency has signed off on a deal to allocate over €350 million for the delivery of more than 1,200 new social and affordable houses in five counties around the country.
As part of that, Westmeath will see the addition of 46 cost-rental properties.
Dublin will benefit the most from the funding, with the investment leading to the delivery of just under 1,000 new homes in the capital.
