Laois is among 22 counties that saw an increase in Irish startups since the start of the year.
It shows consumer confidence is holding steady despite economic uncertainty over global events.
So far, there's been a 9% increase in startups in the first half of this year, compared to 2024.
Christine Cullen, Managing Director of CRIF-Vision-net - which compiled the data - says Irish businesses are proving to be strong and adaptable:
