Lack Of Regulation Means Private Home Care Providers Are Effectively Self-Regulated

According to Chief Inspector of Social Services with HIQA, Offaly's Carol Grogan.

The Chief Inspector of Social Services with HIQA says there is almost no independent oversight of private home-care providers. 

The Health Information and Quality Authority is calling for regulations to provide minimum standards of care and an assessment body to carry out inspections of companies.
