Questions are being raised as to why the Laois audiology services are being moved to Offaly.
The part-time audiologist is currently based in St. Fintan's Hospital in Portlaoise - but is set to be relocated to Tullamore Hospital early next month for a period between six months to two years while renovations are taking place.
Local Sinn Féin TD Brian Stanley feels a premises in Laois could have been sourced to avoid people having to travel long distances without public transport.
