A motorist has been arrested for driving under the influence in Laois.
The driver was stopped by the Laois Roads Policing Unit yesterday.
The man had no insurance, driving licence or NCT, they gave a false name to gardaí and were in possession of cannabis herb.
The motorist failed a roadside drug test and was arrested.
The car was immediately seized and a blood specimen was taken.
They have been charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court.
