A new housing report shows midlands house prices are rising quickest in Laois, over the past 12 months.
Daft.ie says average prices were 8.9% higher than in the same period a year earlier in the county.
In Offaly, they're up by 5.1% and in Westmeath the average cost of a home has gone up by 4.3%.
Meanwhile, the average cost of a three-bedroom semi-detached house across the three counties is €306,000.
Nationally, The median price of a newly-built home in the year to March 2026 was €445,000, up 3% on a year earlier.
