A local development group in a Westmeath town is looking for volunteers to set up a Care and Repair Scheme.
Westmeath Community Development first piloted the scheme in Athlone, with Castlepollard now looking to set up its own service.
The free service consists of home visits to a person over the age of 60 to carry out minor household repairs.
Castlepollard Local Development is hoping to set up an event soon with the Westmeath branch to encourage enough people to sign up.
