The accused appeared in Tullamore District Court today over the incident at Castleview Park in Edenderry on December 6th last year.
A man has been charged with the murder of four-year-old Tadgh Farrell and his grand aunt Mary Holt in a fire at a house in Offaly last year.
The Irish Sun is reporting 22 year old Michael Dunne, with an address in Kildare appeared in Tullamore District Court today, over the incident at Castleview Park in Edenderry on December 6th last year.
Mr Dunne was also charged with assault, causing serious harm to Ms Holt.
The accused, who is in custody and whose full address cannot be published by order of the court, had previously been accused of arson on that date.
That charge remains before the court as does another of endangerment on the same date which has been amended.
Mr Dunne will appear in court again ahead of a book of evidence being served on October 28th.
