Midlands 103 Wins Big At National Radio Awards

The Midlands most popular radio station picked up gold, silver and bronze and the IMROs last night.

Midlands 103 scooped up three IMRO radio awards at this year's gala event in Kilkenny.

Breakfast with Peter Dunne was crowned as the country's best breakfast show for its entry 'Breakfast at the Ploughing'.

The station is also being recognised among the best in the country, winning silver in the Best Local Station of the Year category.

It marks another strong result for Midlands 103 in the category, following the station's bronze award in 2024, putting the station on the podium twice in the past three years.

Peter Dunne and Midlands 103 won again with his special feature '30 Years Settling the Score' winning bronze.

While sister station South East Radio is bringing gold home to Wexford after Morning Mix with Alan Corcoran was named as the country's best local current affairs programme.

The IMRO Radio Awards celebrates excellence in radio broadcasting across the island of Ireland.

This year's event took place in The Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny.
