He's aiming to go the length of the River Shannon
Westmeath's Bressie is plotting a plan to kayak the entire length of the river Shannon.
From source to sea, the journey will cover over 330 kilometres, starting on July 1st, and ending at the mouth of the Shannon in Limerick on July 7th.
Bressie will be joined by managing director of Lakelands Kayaks in Mullingar, Ray Carolan.
Mr Carolan says the charity they're supporting is doing important work and has big plans for the future:
