Midlands Diocese Cutting Down On Sunday Mass Services

It's due to a decline in both the number of priests and those attending.

Allowing priests and members of the clergy to marry won't do anything to save Sunday Mass. 

Declining numbers in the priesthood as well as parishoners attending weekly sermons means the Ossory diocese of Laois/Offaly will reduce the amount of Sunday Masses next year. 
 
Bishop of Ossory and Westmeath's Dermot Farrell believes the continued faith crisis in the church amongst young people is another major contributing factor.
