The facility in Westmeath is asking patients to consider their options before attending the ED.
The Adult and Paediatric Emergency Departments at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar are both busy again today.
It's the third day in a row that the hospital has been put in escalation and teams are working to manage the current Adult and Paediatric In-Patient and Covid-19 Bed Capacity together with Scheduled Care.
Patients are asked to consider their options before attending the EDs.
People are being advised that if they do attend and are not triaged as seriously ill, they may need to wait for a long period to be seen.
However, anyone who requires urgent care will be prioritised.
Hospital Management is thanking the public for their support and understanding during this period.
