Around 48 projects are getting funding under the Thatched Buildings scheme.
Historic buildings across the Midlands are set to receive almost €780,000 in conservation funding under national heritage schemes.
Westmeath will receive €275,000, with over €250,000 awarded to eight projects and a further €25,390 under the Historic Thatched Buildings scheme.
Offaly will benefit from more than €260,000, including almost €250,000 for 25 conservation projects and over €15,400 for historic thatched properties.
In Laois, over €195,000, has been allocated including more than €185,000 for 15 projects under the Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2026 and over €10,300 for thatched buildings.
The funding will support essential repairs to roofs, walls, windows and doors on protected structures across the three counties.
