Midlands Local Authority Make €1.5m Commitment To LED Lighting

It's hoped the move will save up to 50% on energy costs.

A new LED lighting system is to save a midlands local authority up to 50% on energy costs. 

Laois County Council are dedicating €1.5m over the next three years to retrofitting public lighting infrastructure with low energy bulbs.

However, local independent councillor James Kelly says the reduced power will leave black spots around the county:
