Midlands Parents Concerned Over A Lack Of Therapists In Special Schools

Concern is growing among parents of special needs children in the midlands over a lack of therapists available. 

Therapists, such as psychologists, occupational therapists and physio therapists, are lacking in numbers across special education schools in Laois and Offaly.

The HSE have claimed a difficulty in recruiting such staff, with plans for an audit of those in the private sector, as well as further advertising for the positions.
