It could take weeks, if not months, for the young people involved in the crash in Birr on Saturday night to come to terms with the incident - according to a midlands psychotherapist.

10 people were injured when a car mounted a footpath on O'Connell Street shortly after midnight - five of whom were hospitalised.

The driver of the car, 17-year-old boy, was arrested at the scene but has been released pending further investigations.
