Midlands Teachers Take Part In Training Scheme For Road Safety

Students take 10 modules to learn about car components, safety belts and learning to drive.

Teachers in the midlands have been part of a successful RSA and Government training scheme for TY road safety education.

Athlone and Portlaoise have been locations for in-person training sessions for the 'Road Safety Matters' programme.

It's teacher-led and developed by the RSA, IPB, the Department of Education and the Department of Transport-and has delivered training to almost 140 schools nationally.

Students will learn through 10 modules focused on aspects of road safety-including car components, safety belts and learning to drive.
