Nine different bikes will be available, including foldable and cargo models.
A new E-Bike library is going to give a midlands community, young and old, access to recreation and leisure facilities across the town.
That's according to Portarlington Community Development Association Chair, Aidan Mullally.
The first of its kind in the region, the E-Bike library will allow people access to the bikes for a period of three months with a refundable deposit of €150.
There will be nine different bikes available including foldable and cargo bicycles.
