Nursing Home Sector In Funding Crisis

A report was published by the PwC.

A new report has found the nursing home sector is suffering under a funding crisis.

According to the PwC report, there has been a 36% increase in the operational cost of care per resident since 2017.

Three nursing homes have closed over the past three years in the midlands, with two in Westmeath and one in Offaly.

Nationally, 31 nursing home premises have closed over the same period.
