The mayor of Luzhou agreed to make the donation last month.
A consignment of 30,000 face-masks has arrived in Offaly from China.
The town of Luzhou in the Sichuan province is making the donation to the Regional Hospital Tullamore following an agreement with the mayor last month.
The PPE was flown directly from the far east presented to the representatives of the municipal district of Tullamore on Monday.
It's now being distributed for use across the hospital.
