MyPay provides centralised payroll and superannuation shared services to local authorities nationwide.
Over 100 jobs created in Laois following MyPay contract.
That is according to Laois County Councillor Caroline Dwane Stanley, who says MyPay has significantly boosted employment in the area.
Since winning the MyPay contract, over 100 new jobs have been created in Laois County Council.
Now based in Portlaoise, MyPay is the central Payroll and Superannuation Shared Service Centre for local authorities across Ireland.
The contract manages approximately €800 million in payroll and pension payments for local authorities nationwide.
The base operates as a centralised payroll and pensions service for local authorities across Ireland.
Following the most recent Laois County Council meeting, an operational overdraft of €15 million has been approved by the body for the year ending December 31st, 2027.
The reasoning behind this motion is to construct a safety net for any timing issues or disruptions that may be faced in the process of paying out wages and pensions.
Said motion is a critical element of the responsibility Laois County Council now holds in managing payroll and pension payments for local authorities, and for people across the nation.
The council's approval of the overdraft will remain in place for the 2027 financial year, helping to ensure continuity in the delivery of payroll and pension services.
