Since the end of March this year, the waiting list has included 8,200 children in total.
Over 2,250 children are waiting for disability services in the Dublin-Midlands region.
Latest Figures released by the CDNT to Longford-Westmeath TD Sorca Clarke shows a total of 5,261 children across the country waiting over 12 months for an initial contact, with 1,669 in the region.
8,200 children in total are on a waiting list from the end of March this year.
Deputy Clarke is describing these figures as "completely unacceptable".
