Schools are to remain closed due to covid-19, except for Leaving Cert exam students.
A Laois teenager's petition against the Education Minister's decision to re-open schools for Leaving Cert students has gained over 2,500 signatures.
Sixth year student in Portlaoise College, Caomhie Dunne started the campaign as she feels her peers have been ignored by the government.
She says the format of the leaving cert exam in 2021 should be a choice for individual pupils:
