Figures revealed by the CSO also show there's been nearly 500 deaths in the region.
Over 700 babies have been born in the midlands in the second quarter of this year.
The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office also show there's been 480 deaths in the region in the same period.
Westmeath boasts the highest number of births between the three counties, at 278. That figure is split between 141 boys and 137 girls.
125 boys were born in Laois, and 110 girls, for a total of 235.
There's been more girls than boys in Offaly, at 117 and 115 respectively, which is a total of 232.
The average age at which mothers are giving birth in Leinster is 33.
On the other hand, 175 people passed away in Offaly in the second quarter of this year, the highest in the region.
There were 168 deaths in Westmeath, and 137 in Laois.
Of the 480 people who passed away in the midlands, Covid was identified in 40 of them at the time of their death.
