A midlands golfer was left "irate" after Ryanair refused to allow him to bring his newly won trophy on board.
Offaly's Joe Lyons was told he had to fit and seal his Spanish Seniors Amateur Open silver cup in a carry on bag or leave it at Seville Airport.
Ryanair has since apologised and promised to fly the trophy back to Ireland tonight.
