Proposals for a new SUV tax are "never going to fly," according to a midlands motoring journalist.
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland has put forward a number of suggestions in a bid to meet the Climate Action Plan's targets.
Among those is a tax on SUVs, a ban on new data centres and a boiler scrappage scheme.
The SEAI says the current scale and pace of delivery mean it's uncertain the ambitious targets outlined in the Climate Action Plan will be met.
