The Vintner's Federation of Ireland says it's willing to meet with national representatives to discuss the VAT rate of non-alcoholic beverages.

Fine Gael Senator, Garret Ahearn had suggested lowering the rate on non-alcoholic alternatives in pubs and bars.

Many such drinks are the same price or only slightly cheaper than their alcoholic counterparts.
