A local plan launched in Castlepollard has helped over 100 people so far this year.
Over 100 people in a Westmeath town have been trained in how to build a dementia friendly community.
Castlepollard's Rosaleen Madden launched the plan earlier this year,after her husband Eddie was diagnosed with it.
The plan helps local groups like the Castlepollard Dementia Group spread awareness of the condition, with businesses displaying stickers in their windows to indicate they've taken the training.
